Dr. Ramzy Baroud is the founder and editor of The Palestine Chronicle and author of My Father Was a Freedom Fighter, The Prisoners’ Diaries and The Last Earth. He also co-wrote the 2017 Al-Jazeera series Palestine in Motion. He got his PhD from Exeter University under Ilan Pappe.

 

Dr. Ronnen Ben-Arie lives in Haifa and teaches there at Technion as well as at Tel Aviv University. He is a dedicated anti-Zionist who gave a great talk at the March 2017 conference on Israel’s legitimacy in Cork, Ireland. With Marcelo Svirsky he authored in 2017/2018 the book From Shared Life to Co-Resistance in Historic Palestine.

 

Sabine Blum worked for decades as a midwife, model, tailor, house painter and carer for the elderly. In 2010 she spent a few months in Palestine with the Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme and has visited once since. She lives in Zürich and is on the core team of Café Palestine, which is affiliated with the Gesellschaft Schweiz-Palästina and which holds events with speakers, films and Palestinian food on the last Sunday of every month.

 

Micheline Borceux is a retired English teacher in Lille, France, who has been a trade-union activist all her life. She has translated Rashid Khalidi’s Brokers of Deceit: How the U.S. Has Undermined Peace in the Middle East into French and is searching for a French publisher. Since 2015 she has contributed to Chronique de Palestine , the French version of The Palestine Chronicle, by translating English articles into French.

 

Dr. Frank Brogan is a care worker who received his PhD in political philosophy and lives in York.

 

Dave Brokenshire is a Cambridge-based artist who co-founded Cambridge Palestine Action. He has taken part in occupations and blockades against SodaStream and Elbit Systems. In addition to his own Facebook page he administers several Facebook groups dealing with both Palestine and the wider Near East.

 

Tarin Brokenshire is a Canadian national living in the UK for over 50 years who has worked as assistant to the press officer of SWAPO, as a member of the National and Executive Committees of the Anti-Apartheid Movement and as a member of staff of Artists Against Apartheid. She lives in Cambridge where she works supporting immigration detainees and campaigns locally on Palestine. A past member of both the UK Communist and Labour Parties, she now mostly votes Green and is a member of Momentum.

 

Monika Brülhart worked for UNHCR [High Commissioner for Refugees] for nearly 30 years and has always fought for the rights of the oppressed, less powerful, discriminated, disenfranchised. The terrible deadlock situation in Israel/ Palestine is a shame for us all. This region and its people are very close to us Europeans culturally and historically. This organisation has a real and realistic solution to offer that will safeguard the human rights of all its inhabitants.

 

Rev. Colin Chapman lived in Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon for 18 years, and taught Islamic Studies at the Near East School of Theology, Beirut, until 2003. He has lectured in courses at Bethlehem Bible College and various seminaries in the UK and is now enjoying semi-retirement in Cambridge. His books include Whose Promised Land? (Lion, 2002) and Whose Holy City? Jerusalem and the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict (Lion, 2004). His latest book is Christian Zionism and the Restoration of Israel: How Should We Interpret the Scriptures?

 

Jon Ellis was a founding member of Southampton PSC in 2007 and has been a member ever since. He is also a member of the trade union Unite and works in the UK as a gardener and teacher. Several months of the year he works in West Bengal, Indian, in a education programme for migrant children. For several years he has been convinced of the logic of ODS for Palestine/Israel.

 

Dr. Terence English was born and raised in South Africa, where he became a qualified mining engineer. After medical studies in London he performed the first successful heart transplant in Britain in 1979. He was Master of St Catharine’s College, Cambridge, from 1993-2000 and in recent years has done trauma care training in Gaza and Pakistan. He lives in Oxford with his wife.
